a good base layout is crucial to success in their objective, most the people ignore the fact that a good base plays a very important role in your gameplay! If you do not have a good base then you will keep losing trophies, whether it be trophy pushing, farming, or warring. A poorly designed base will easily fall to attacks, regardless of how much gold is invested into the defenses. On the other hand, a well-designed base will be able to defend better even if the defenses are weaker. So whenever you upgrade your Town Hall always keep a new base ready to implement!

Guys, there are 4 types of clash of clans base layouts!

1. War bases

War bases aim to prevent enemies from gaining stars. Typically they are designed in a way to prevent two or three stars, usually the latter. Successful war bases are capable of preventing the opponent from achieving their goal and forcing them to make multiple attacks against your base.

When building a war base, it is important to think about how you would attack the base you built. Doing Friendly Challenges with clan mates enables you to visualize how your base would hold up against attacks.

2. Farming bases

Farming Bases are designed against multiplayer opponents who are farming for your resources. You are protecting Elixir, gold, and dark elixir from easily being stolen by making other targets more viable than them. You are also giving up minor resources and keeping major ones highly protected. So if you are farming focus on better defense that could protect all of your resources!

3. Hybrid bases 

Hybrid bases intend to protect both the player’s trophies and resources at the same time and are the most typical type of base. As such, it draws aspects from both farming and trophy bases.

4. Trophy Bases

Keep in mind trophy pushing is a type of time-wasting according to me as it makes me obsessed and addicted to the game, Trophy bases have the primary intention of protecting trophies. You will often protect the Town Hall, as its destruction means a star and consequently, trophies for the attacker. In addition to protecting the Town Hall, you may also wish to prevent 50% destruction as that is yet another way to score stars.

Preventing 50% destruction is hard; many armies will be capable of achieving it by simply attacking the least-defended parts of your base (which will typically be near or outside the front-line walls) and hoping for the best. However, some layouts can make it very hard to destroy the Town Hall, thus limiting the attacker to one star in most cases.

I only recommend you to push trophies if you want to play competitive but even in competitive trophies do not matter a lot!

Clash of Clans 2012 is a free-to-play mobile strategy game published by Supercell. The game was released on iOS platforms on August 2, 2012, and on Google Play Android on October 7, 2013.

The game takes place in a fantasy-themed persistent world[4] in which the player plays as a chief of a village. Clash of Clans challenges players to build their villages from the resources they gain by attacking other players’ villages. Players can earn rewards such as buying medals or producing them in their village. Players can train various types of troops to attack using different resources. The three main resources are gold and dark elixir. Players can join together to form clans of up to 50 people who can then take part in Clan Wars together and donate and receive troops. They can also chat with one another.

Clash of Clans allows players to create online communities called clans and train troops. They can also attack other players to gain resources. The game has four currencies. The elixir and gold can be used to upgrade and build defenses, traps, and buildings that protect the village from attacks by other players. You can also use elixir and dark to upgrade your troops and spells. Gems are the most valuable currency. Attacks can be rated using a three-star scale. They have a maximum duration of three minutes.

A pseudo-single-player campaign is also available in the game. The player can attack several fortified villages of goblins to earn gold, elixir (and darker elixir at higher levels).

A free builder is required to perform an upgrade. Two builders are required to start the game. However, the player can buy up to five builders with gems, and even a sixth builder by unlocking the OTTO Hut from Builder Base 9.

Troops and spells

There are two types of barracks: dark and light barracks, and two types of spell factories: spell factory and dark spell factory. Barracks can be used to create troops with elixir. Dark barracks are used to create troops with dark elixir. To unlock more troops, these barracks can also be upgraded to higher levels.

Clash of Clans has many troops, including barbarians and giants, archers as well as wall breakers, balloons, and wizards. Each troop has its strengths and weaknesses.

The same rules apply to spell factories: the normal spell factory uses elixir to create spells, while the dark spell factory uses dark elixir. Each troop and each spell have different properties. The dark spell factory also produces spells that take up less space. This allows for more spells to be used during a battle. As the player advances, many new troops and spells can be unlocked.

The Workshop is available at Town Hall 12. The building can be used to make six types of siege machines: the Wall Wrecker (or Battle Blimp), the Stone Slammer (or Siege Barracks), the Log Launcher, and the Flame Flinger. Introduced in March 2020, Super Troops are troops that are more powerful troops than their original counterparts and have special abilities.

Town Hall 14 unlocks Pet House, which is a building that assigns pets to heroes. There are four types: the Unicorn (L.A.S.S.I., Electro Owl, and Mighty Yak), each of which serves a different purpose in helping a hero.

Clans and clan warfare

Clans are groups that support one another, either financially (donating troops or giving advice), or in the form of a group. Clans can be joined by players who have completed the Clan Castle building. Clash of Clans’ gameplay features clans fighting each other in “clan wars”. Clan leaders and co-leaders can start wars against other clans. Each clan gets one “preparation” day and one “war day.”

A player can attack a member from an opposing clan and receive stars depending on how much damage they do to their base. 50% or more is enough for 1 star. Destruction of the town hall gives 1 star and destruction of the entire base gives 3 stars. Each player can only attack two opponents per war. The team with more stars at the end is declared victorious. If both clans have equal star counts, the victor is the one with the highest percentage of destruction. If players use their attacks during the war, they will receive bonus war loot.

Supercell determines which base will have the highest amount of war bonus loot, and which base has the lowest. The bonus loot will be fully delivered to the player if the clan wins the war. However, if the game is lost or drawn, only one-third of it will be delivered to them. The March 2016 update removed 35v35, 45v45, and 10v10 loot. There are five war sizes available: 50v50 and 40v40. Friendly Challenges were added in the May 2016 update to allow clanmates to compete against each other.

However, these challenges don’t offer loot or trophies, and they do not affect an army. Clan War Leagues were added in the October 2018 update. Clans would battle seven other clans to move up to the next league. Clans could also earn league medals and stars through Clan War Leagues. The clans with the most stars will advance to a higher league while those with the fewest stars will be deported to a lower league.
